What is CVE-2019-25216?
The Rich Review plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the 'update' parameter of the POST body. This flaw affects versions up to and including 1.7.4, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts. When a user accesses a page that has been compromised, these scripts can execute, posing significant security risks and potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft.
