WordPress Hybrid Composer version 1.4.6 is susceptible to an unauthenticated settings change vulnerability. This flaw allows attackers to send crafted POST requests to the admin-ajax.php endpoint with the action parameter set to hc_ajax_save_option. By exploiting this vulnerability, an unauthenticated user can modify critical WordPress options, such as enabling user registration and assigning the default role to administrator, leading to potential account takeover and unauthorized access to sensitive areas of the WordPress site.
