SSH Authentication Flaw in HashiCorp Vault-SSH-Helper
CVE-2020-24359
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2020-24359?
The HashiCorp Vault-SSH-Helper tool, up to version 0.1.6, contained a vulnerability that allowed it to erroneously accept Vault-issued SSH one-time passwords (OTPs) based on the subnet of a host's network interface, instead of verifying the specific IP address assigned to that interface. This could potentially allow unauthorized access if an attacker could exploit the weak network address validation. The issue was rectified in version 0.2.0.
