What is CVE-2020-37245?

Supsystic Digital Publications version 1.6.9 exhibits a severe path traversal vulnerability within the Folder input field, enabling attackers to manipulate directory traversal sequences to gain access to files outside the designated web root. In addition, the plugin has inadequate input field sanitization in its publication settings, which can result in stored cross-site scripting attacks. This vulnerability allows malicious scripts to be injected through parameters such as Area Width and Publication Width, executing when publications are accessed or modified, leading to potential data breaches and user exploitation.
