Summary
The Recently plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a vulnerability resulting from insufficient file type validation in the fetch_external_image() function. This issue affects versions up to and including 3.0.4, enabling authenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files to the server hosting the affected site. Such uploads could lead to remote code execution risks, compromising the security of the site and exposing sensitive data.
