What is CVE-2021-43998?
HashiCorp Vault and Vault Enterprise versions 0.11.0 through 1.7.5 and 1.8.4 present a vulnerability where templated ACL policies fail to enforce correctly due to always referencing the first created entity alias among multiple aliases for a given entity. This issue can lead to potential misconfigurations in policy application, affecting security and access controls. Users are advised to update to Vault and Vault Enterprise versions 1.7.6, 1.8.5, or 1.9.0 to mitigate this vulnerability.
