What is CVE-2021-47983?

The Stripe Payments plugin for WordPress, version 2.0.39, is impacted by a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. This security issue enables authenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts via the AcceptStripePayments-settings[currency_code] parameter. By sending POST requests to /wp-admin/options.php with crafted payloads in the currency_code field, attackers can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of administrators when they view the affected settings. Proper security measures should be taken to mitigate this vulnerability.
