What is CVE-2022-25244?

Vault Enterprise clusters utilizing the tokenization transform feature may inadvertently disclose the tokenization key through the key configuration endpoint. This exposure occurs when authorized operators, who possess read permissions on this endpoint, are able to access sensitive information that should remain secure. The issue has been addressed in Vault Enterprise versions 1.9.4, 1.8.9, and 1.7.10, reinforcing the importance of updating affected systems to safeguard sensitive data.
