Replyable < 2.2.10 - Subscriber+ PHP Object Injection
CVE-2022-4265
Key Information:
Badges
Summary
The Replyable WordPress plugin prior to version 2.2.10 is susceptible to object injection attacks due to improper validation of class names when processing requests in the prompt_dismiss_notice action. This oversight enables authenticated users, such as subscribers, to exploit the system and potentially execute arbitrary code. Furthermore, the absence of CSRF protections amplifies the risk by allowing attackers to leverage cross-site request forgery methods against any authenticated user, thereby compromising the integrity of the site.
Affected Version(s)
Replyable 0 < 2.2.10
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
