What is CVE-2022-4681?
The Hide My WP plugin for WordPress, prior to version 6.2.9, contains a vulnerability due to improper sanitization and escaping of a parameter used in a SQL statement. This flaw exists in an AJAX action that is accessible to unauthenticated users, which could allow an attacker to execute unauthorized SQL queries. Such SQL injection vulnerabilities can lead to data exposure and manipulation, putting website security at risk.
