What is CVE-2022-50946?
The Netroics Blog Posts Grid plugin for WordPress version 1.0 has a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This security flaw arises from the plugin's failure to properly sanitize the 'post_title' parameter, which permits authenticated editors to inject malicious JavaScript into the testimonial title field. Consequently, when other users view draft posts, these malicious scripts are executed in their browsers, posing significant risks such as cookie theft and session hijacking. Effective remediation involves updating to a patched version of the plugin and implementing best practices for input validation.
