Summary
The Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin has a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated users with contributor roles and above to exploit a shortcode attribute without proper validation. This oversight opens the door for arbitrary file inclusion through directory traversal techniques. Attackers can potentially read sensitive non-PHP files on the server. Furthermore, if an attacker uploads a malicious image containing PHP code, they could execute remote code. This could occur on a default WordPress installation, where authors possessing upload_file capability could easily exploit this vulnerability.
