What is CVE-2023-0159?

The Extensive VC Addons for WPBakery Page Builder prior to version 1.9.1 contains a security flaw where it improperly validates parameters passed to the PHP extract function during template loading. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to manipulate the template path, potentially leading to unauthorized access and reading of arbitrary files from the server's file system. Additionally, this could be exploited to elevate privileges using PHP filter chains, increasing the risk of further attacks.
