What is CVE-2023-0441?

The Gallery Blocks with Lightbox plugin for WordPress allows authenticated users, including those with subscriber roles, to access an AJAX endpoint that exposes significant security vulnerabilities. This functionality could potentially enable unauthorized actions, including reading and modifying WordPress option settings. Notably, it could facilitate the activation of user registration through a default administrator role, compromising site security.
