What is CVE-2023-0814?
The Profile Builder β User Profile & User Registration Forms plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions to access sensitive user metadata through the user_meta shortcode. This security flaw arises from insufficient restrictions on sensitive user meta values, enabling unauthorized information retrieval that could potentially lead to privilege escalation. Attackers need to have the Usermeta shortcode enabled to exploit this vulnerability effectively.
