What is CVE-2023-3343?
The User Registration plugin for WordPress is susceptible to PHP Object Injection due to improper deserialization of untrusted input from the 'profile-pic-url' parameter. This vulnerability enables authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions or higher to inject arbitrary PHP objects. Although there is no inherent Property Oriented Programming (POP) chain in the affected plugin, the presence of a POP chain through other installed plugins or themes on the site could potentially lead to severe consequences, such as arbitrary file deletion, sensitive data exposure, or the execution of malicious code.
