What is CVE-2023-3369?
The About Me 3000 widget plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the admin settings. This vulnerability can be exploited by authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions and higher, allowing them to inject arbitrary scripts into pages. The malicious scripts will execute when users visit the compromised page. This issue specifically impacts multi-site installations and those where unfiltered_html has been disabled, thereby posing a significant risk to site security.
