What is CVE-2023-38344?

An issue has been identified in Ivanti Endpoint Manager that allows an authenticated attacker to exploit a file disclosure vulnerability in the GetFileContents SOAP action accessed through /landesk/managementsuite/core/core.secure/OsdScript.asmx. The application fails to adequately restrict user-supplied paths, enabling an attacker to read arbitrary files from a remote system. This could potentially include sensitive data such as private keys utilized for agent authentication in remote access scenarios. Organizations using vulnerable versions should prioritize patching to mitigate this risk.
