What is CVE-2023-5049?

The Giveaways and Contests by RafflePress plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through its 'rafflepress' and 'rafflepress_gutenberg' shortcodes. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping applied to the 'giframe' user-supplied attribute. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed whenever users access those compromised pages, thereby compromising user security.
