What is CVE-2023-5050?
The Leaflet Map plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with contributor-level permissions or higher to exploit stored cross-site scripting. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping within shortcodes, enabling attackers to implant malicious scripts into webpages. These scripts execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page, potentially leading to data theft and other harmful consequences.
