What is CVE-2023-5235?

The Ovic Responsive WPBakery WordPress plugin versions prior to 1.2.9 contains a significant vulnerability that fails to restrict the options that can be modified through specific AJAX actions. This lack of proper access control enables an attacker, with at least a subscriber-level account, to adjust critical blog settings such as 'users_can_register' and 'default_role'. Furthermore, the plugin's process involves unserializing user input, which could potentially facilitate Object Injection attacks, leading to unauthorized access or manipulation of the WordPress site.
