What is CVE-2023-5666?

The Accordion plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the 'tcpaccordion' shortcode. This vulnerability affects all versions through 2.6, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute in the browsers of users accessing the compromised pages, potentially leading to unauthorized actions and data theft.
