What is CVE-2023-5798?

The Assistant WordPress Plugin prior to version 1.4.4 exposes a critical weakness by failing to validate user-supplied parameters before executing requests via wp_remote_get(). This oversight permits users with Editor-level permissions or lower to initiate Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks, potentially compromising the server's internal resources and sensitive data. Administrators are urged to update to the latest version to mitigate this vulnerability and secure their web applications.
