What is CVE-2023-6555?

The Email Subscription Popup plugin for WordPress, prior to version 1.2.20, is susceptible to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to improper sanitization and escaping of user-supplied parameters. This flaw can be exploited by malicious actors to inject arbitrary scripts into the web pages viewed by users, potentially affecting those with high privileges, including administrators. If successfully executed, this could allow attackers to steal sensitive information, hijack user sessions, or perform actions on behalf of the targeted users.
