What is CVE-2023-7086?

The SVG Uploads Support plugin for WordPress prior to version 2.1.1 is prone to a vulnerability that fails to sanitize uploaded SVG files. This oversight permits users with minimal permissions, such as Author role, to upload SVG files that may contain malicious code. Consequently, this could lead to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, exposing website administrators and visitors to potential security threats. Proper validation and sanitization practices are crucial to mitigate such risks.
