What is CVE-2024-0385?

The Categorify plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with subscriber-level access and higher to modify data without proper checks. This issue stems from a missing capability verification within the categorifyAjaxAddCategory function, allowing attackers to add categories freely. As a result, this flaw can be exploited to manipulate site categories, affecting overall data integrity and management.
