What is CVE-2024-0792?
The WP Shortcodes Plugin, known as Shortcodes Ultimate, is susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on RSS feed content. This flaw allows authenticated attackers, specifically those with contributor-level permissions or higher, to inject arbitrary scripts through the plugin's shortcodes. Once injected, these malicious scripts can execute whenever a user visits the affected page, posing significant security risks to users and their data.
