What is CVE-2024-10143?
The MB Custom Post Types & Custom Taxonomies plugin for WordPress, prior to version 2.7.7, is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape certain settings. Consequently, high-privilege users such as administrators can inadvertently introduce malicious scripts into the site. This occurs even when the unfiltered_html capability is disabled, posing a significant risk especially in multisite configurations. Exploiting this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized actions being executed on behalf of users with elevated privileges.
