What is CVE-2024-10362?

The Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons plugin for WordPress, prior to version 2.9.1, is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) due to inadequate sanitization and escaping of certain settings. This vulnerability enables high-privilege users, including admins, to execute malicious scripts. This risk is particularly pronounced in environments where the 'unfiltered_html' capability is not permitted, such as multisite installations.
