Unauthorized Plugin Installation Vulnerability Affects Top Store WordPress Theme
CVE-2024-10673
What is CVE-2024-10673?
The Top Store theme for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with subscriber-level access and higher to install arbitrary plugins. This issue arises from a lack of proper capability checks in the top_store_install_and_activate_callback() function. As a result, unauthorized plugin installations can lead to exploitation of other vulnerabilities within those plugins, potentially allowing attackers to elevate their privileges and execute remote code. Website administrators using versions up to and including 1.5.4 of the Top Store theme should take immediate action to secure their installations.
