What is CVE-2024-10900?

The ProfileGrid – User Profiles, Groups and Communities plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability due to a missing capability check in the pm_remove_file_attachment() function. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 5.9.3.6, allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to delete arbitrary user metadata. This could potentially lead to severe disruptions, including the denial of access for administrators to their own sites, posing significant security concerns for WordPress users reliant on this plugin.
