What is CVE-2024-11285?
The WP JobHunt plugin for WordPress exhibits a serious privilege escalation flaw due to inadequate identity verification during the update of user details. Specifically, it fails to validate user identities reliably in the account_settings_callback() function. This vulnerability allows unauthorized attackers to modify the email addresses of any user, including administrators. By doing so, attackers can easily reset passwords and gain full access to the affected accounts, compromising sensitive information and the integrity of the website.
