Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Folder Gallery Plugin
CVE-2024-11823
What is CVE-2024-11823?
The Folder Gallery plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through the 'foldergallery' shortcode. This flaw arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on attributes provided by users. As a result, authenticated attackers, including those with contributor-level permissions and higher, can inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will be executed automatically whenever users access an affected page, potentially compromising user data and site integrity.
