What is CVE-2024-12061?

The Events Addon for Elementor plugin for WordPress is affected by a significant information exposure vulnerability. All versions up to and including 2.2.3 are susceptible due to inadequate restrictions on the naevents_elementor_template shortcode. This flaw allows authenticated attackers, with at least Contributor-level access, to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data from private or draft posts made with Elementor. As a result, attackers can exploit this vulnerability to extract sensitive information that should typically remain inaccessible, posing a potential risk to user privacy and data protection.
