What is CVE-2024-12069?

The Lexicata plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to improper use of add_query_arg without adequate URL escaping. This vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 1.0.16. By exploiting this flaw, unauthenticated attackers can inject malicious scripts into web pages. If users are lured into clicking on a manipulated link, the scripts may execute within their browsers, potentially leading to session hijacking or further exploitation.
