What is CVE-2024-12098?
The ARS Affiliate Page Plugin for WordPress is susceptible to reflected cross-site scripting attacks via the 'utm_keyword' parameter. This vulnerability arises from the plugin's inadequate input sanitization and output escaping mechanisms. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw to introduce arbitrary web scripts into web pages. These scripts execute when a user is manipulated into clicking a malicious link, potentially compromising user information and website integrity.
