What is CVE-2024-12443?
The CRM Perks - WordPress HelpDesk Integration plugin for Zendesk, Freshdesk, and HelpScout is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes through the 'crm-perks-tickets' shortcode. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.1.6, allowing authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts can be executed whenever a user accesses the compromised pages, posing a significant risk to website security and user data.
