What is CVE-2024-12452?

The Ziggeo plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping within its 'ziggeo_event' shortcode. This vulnerability impacts all versions up to and including 3.1. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Such scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the compromised pages, posing a significant risk to user data and site integrity.
