What is CVE-2024-12621?
The Yumpu E-Paper publishing plugin for WordPress is susceptible to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping for the 'YUMPU' shortcode. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts into web pages. When other users view these compromised pages, the injected scripts execute, potentially leading to data theft, session hijacking, or other malicious activities.
