Summary

The Smart Maintenance Mode WordPress plugin prior to version 1.5.2 fails to properly sanitize and escape certain settings. This vulnerability allows high privilege users, such as administrators, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, even when the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as in a multisite configuration. This oversight potentially exposes the WordPress site to unauthorized script execution, putting the integrity of the site at risk.
