What is CVE-2024-1278?

The Easy Social Feed plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'efb_likebox' shortcode. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 6.5.4, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages. This script will execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page, posing significant security risks to users visiting these sites.
