What is CVE-2024-12873?

The Custom Field Manager plugin for WordPress, in versions up to 1.0, is susceptible to a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This security issue arises from inadequate sanitization and escaping of input parameters before they are rendered in the web page. This flaw poses a risk of attack primarily targeting users with high privileges, such as administrators, potentially allowing attackers to execute malicious scripts in the context of the user's session.
