What is CVE-2024-13385?

The JSM Screenshot Machine Shortcode plugin for WordPress suffers from a vulnerability related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'ssm' shortcode. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute in the browsers of users who visit these affected pages. This exposes users to potential malicious actions and data theft.
