What is CVE-2024-13572?

The Precious Metals Charts and Widgets plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'nfusion-widget' shortcode. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary scripts into web pages. When these malicious scripts are executed by users visiting the affected pages, they can lead to unauthorized actions, data exposure, or account takeover.
