Summary
The XV Random Quotes WordPress plugin, up to version 1.40, lacks proper CSRF protection when updating its settings. This vulnerability could allow an attacker to exploit the situation by tricking an authenticated administrator into submitting a malicious request. As a result, the attacker can reset the plugin settings without the administrator’s consent, leading to potential unauthorized changes and loss of control over the plugin configuration.
