What is CVE-2024-13594?

The Simple Downloads List plugin for WordPress contains a SQL injection vulnerability via the 'category' attribute of the 'neofix_sdl' shortcode. This flaw is present in all versions up to and including 1.4.2, stemming from insufficient escaping of user-supplied parameters. Authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to modify existing SQL queries, potentially leading to unauthorized exposure of sensitive data from the database.
