The Poll Maker plugin for WordPress prior to version 5.5.4 has a vulnerability that permits high privilege users, such as administrators, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. This issue arises from the failure to properly sanitize and escape certain plugin settings. The risk is elevated even in configurations where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as in multisite setups, allowing potential attackers to inject malicious scripts into the web pages viewed by users.
