Summary
The Simple Social Media Share Buttons plugin for WordPress prior to version 6.0.0 has a flaw that fails to properly sanitize and escape certain settings. This vulnerability may allow users with high privileges, such as administrators, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even in configurations where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as in multisite deployments. Attackers may exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts, potentially compromising the security of the application and its users.
