CVE-2024-13658
5.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2024-13658?
The NGG Smart Image Search plugin for WordPress is prone to Stored Cross-Site Scripting, allowing authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping for user-provided attributes in the 'hr_SIS_nextgen_searchbox' shortcode. As a result, any scripts injected into the plugin can execute when other users access affected pages, posing significant security risks to the wider user base.
