The StageShow plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue. This vulnerability arises from the improper handling of URL parameters using remove_query_arg, which lacks sufficient escaping. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can exploit this weakness to inject malicious scripts into web pages. These scripts can execute when a user interacts with altered URLs, thus posing a significant security threat to websites utilizing this plugin, especially versions up to and including 9.8.6.
